WHEN WILL I STARTTO SEE RESULTS?

In terms of results, you will see an immediate improvement in the treatment area right after your appointment. Although you’ll undoubtedly be satisfied with your appearance after just one treatment, many of our houston patients require more than one session to achieve their ideal results. You can expect your smooth and youthful new appearance to endure for up to twelve months, at which point you may require a touch-up treatment to maintain your new look.

YOUR RECOVERY

As a gentle and non-surgical facial rejuvenation treatment, there is virtually no downtime associated with your Houston Juvederm injections. However, you should avoid strenuous exercise, alcoholic beverages and exposure to excessive sun or heat for at least 24 hours.

Immediately after your appointment, you can expect to experience some minor redness, pain, firmness, swelling and bumps in the area. However, these effects will be very mild and should clear up within one week. If you experience swelling near the injection site, you’ll be advised to apply ice packs regularly to minimize these effects.

Juvéderm is a safe and effective dermal filler used to treat a variety of skin concerns. Most men and women are good candidates for a Juvéderm injections.

COULD I BE ALLERGIC TO JUVÉDERM?

Juvéderm contains no animal products. Its main ingredient, hyaluronic acid, is recognized by the body and therefore, allergic reactions are extremely rare. However, since many dermal fillers include lidocaine, it is important to discuss any previous allergic reactions you’ve experienced with Dr. Sukkar.

Juvéderm injectables contain lidocaine to help manage any discomfort you may feel during the procedure. A topical numbing cream can be applied by Dr. Sukkar to ensure that you’re comfortable.

WHAT IS HYALURONIC ACID?

Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a natural substance found in the skin. It aids in moisture retention and delivers nutrients to keep the skin healthy. Each Juvéderm product is made from a form of HA.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN JUVÉDERM AND RESTYLANE?

Juvéderm is more concentrated than Restylane and is a good option for smoothing wrinkles and lip augmentation. The results of a Juvéderm treatment have also been known to last longer than a Restylane treatment.

SHOULD I WAIT UNTIL OTHER TREATMENTS HAVE DISAPPEARED BEFORE I GET JUVÉDERM?

It is safe to use Juvéderm over other treatments such as Restylane or Radiesse.

ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS?

Patients who receive Juvéderm treatments have rarely reported any side effects. Although rare, bruising and slight redness can occur around the treated area.

WILL THERE BE ANY BUMPS WITH MY JUVÉDERM TREATMENT?

One of the many good things about Juvéderm is that it dissolves evenly. Bumps are not an issue; the treatment area will return to the way it was prior to injection.

HOW MANY JUVÉDERM TREATMENTS WILL I NEED TO MAINTAIN MY NEW LOOK?

Juvéderm results can vary by patient. Typically, a treatment will last anywhere from six to nine months. As you continue with the Juvéderm treatments, they have been known last a bit longer, sometimes up to one year. For best results, repeat the treatment before the Juvéderm completely dissolves.

IS JUVÉDERM THE BEST FILLER AVAILABLE?

Juvéderm is a great filler and can be used for many applications. Other options include Restylane, Radiesse, Perlane, Sculptra, etc. Depending on which area you want treated can determine which filler makes the most sense.

HOW MUCH DO JUVÉDERM TREATMENTS COST?

The cost of the dermal filler is only one factor when considering treatment. The skill of the person administering your treatment will play a significant role in a successful outcome.
